New home construction and home ownership are key objectives to help build a strong community. The City of Haysville has created the Gold Star New Home Initiative to help foster those objectives.
If between now and December 2013 you may be looking to build a home, now is the right time to look in Haysville. Discover small town living with big town access. Good things continue to happen here.
New Home Construction:
1) 100% of the City portion of ad valorem taxes rebated for five years.
2) Cash grant for closing costs or down payment.
($1,500 for homes with construction value* under $150k)
($2,500 for homes with construction value* $150k-$300k)
($3,500 for homes with construction value* over $300k)
* as listed on the Construction/Building Permit
Only Custom, Spec or Model homes built or located on specific registered lots (which have never been owner occupied or rented for more than 24 months) will qualify for this program. Homes must be a Single Family, Owner Occupied residence.
Registered lots are located in a platted development within the City’s corporate limits. Lots registered into the program have special assessment and general tax obligations paid through 2010 or beyond. A link to the complete listings of all registered properties is located on this site.
Applications for tax rebates and cash grant from property owners will be accepted through the earlier of the first 100 qualifying homes, or Dec. 31, 2013.
Applicants must furnish a properly completed Form W-9 with the Application.
Rebates will be issued on or about July 1 of each year.

Official forms used for registering details of the property, tax rebates and cash grants are available at Haysville City Hall located at 200 W. Grand Avenue 8a-5p Monday through Friday. Forms can also be mailed out or faxed by calling the Economic Development office 316-529-5909.
